Hello! I'm Yuang Chen, a first-year PhD student in Institute for Data, Systems and Society (IDSS), Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

I'm a member of the Selin Group, where I work with Prof. Noelle Selin. My research looks into efficient and rigorous climate and air pollution predictions using statistical and modeling approaches, like machine learning, GEOS-Chem, climate ensemble and satellite inversion.

Before joining MIT, I obtained my undergraduate degree from Peking University, advised by Prof. Xuejun Wang. I was also research assistant at CMU working with Prof. Valerie Karplus on energy policy, and at Stony Brook working with Prof. Gang He on energy modeling.
